Around the World in 80 Songs

Target Audience: 6th-12th Grade
| Estimated Length: 45 min

The Indianapolis opera invites you to take a trip around the world, through beautiful and unique repertoire from across the globe! Our journey will take you through all sorts of countries where beautiful classical music was produced. We will travel to Poland, Brazil, Russia, and then back to the United States to meet one of our most prolific African American composers. This program will feature music and languages you might not be accustomed to hearing, but will learn to love and appreciate. Each song will be accompanied by educational material, including a little background about the composer and region, as well as full translations. So, pack your bags and come along with us as we travel Around the World in 80 Songs!
