Where and When

 

Performances are held at Clowes Memorial Hall on the campus of Butler University (4600 Sunset Avenue, Indianapolis) and begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. on Opening Nights and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday Matinees.  Parking is FREE.

 

 

Opera Overtures

 

Discover details about the opera when you attend the free, informative pre-opera talk presented 45 minutes prior to each performance.

 

 

Dining at the Opera

 

Prelude Dinners/Brunches:  For only $50, enjoy an elegant dinner or brunch presented by Indianapolis Opera prior to each performance.  Dinners begin at 6:00 p.m. on Opening Nights and Brunches begin at 11:30 a.m. before Sunday matinees.  For more information about Preludes, please contact the Opera office at (317) 283-3531.

 

 

What Do I Wear??

 

Bring along a copy of IO’s Guide for First Timers to make your opera experience memorable.  This humorous guide will dispel some of the myths about opera.

 

 

Accessibility

 

Clowes Memorial Hall is a fully accessible venue.  Wheelchair seating is available on all levels.  For other special needs, including hearing enhancement and audio description, call (317) 283-3470.
