YOUNG ADULT & SENIOR PROGRAMMING
Partnering with local artists, Indianapolis Opera introduces a variety of vocal musical styles to the citizens of and visitors to Central Indiana while supporting local entities including civic clubs, community centers, cultural-arts organizations and professional sports teams, just to name a few. These professional musicians and performers travel throughout central Indiana with a variety of entertaining programming suited for any age group.
Great for all, grades 5-adults
Singers discuss and demonstrate phonation (the act of singing), diction, translation, interpretation, musicianship, and how each skill builds upon the other as singers perform solo selections and an ensemble piece from the world of vocal music. This is best for older children/young adults and is meant to provide a broad exposure to the art of operatic singing. A question/answer session is available post-performance pending time considerations of both the presenting organization and the Resident Artists.
