All requested events dates will held but not be confirmed until a written contract has been executed.
If event is a ticketed event, all single tickets will be handled by BOC box office and are subject to a separate fee schedule.
BOC has no facility caterer, however any caterer associated with the event must produce a valid catering license before entering the building.
Event holder shall pay 7% state sales tax when applicable.
Insurance Requirements for Organizations
Liability ---- $1,000,000 per occurrence
Fire Damage ---- $100,000
Medical Payments ---- $5,000
Personal & Advertising Limit ---- $1,000,000
Products & Completed Operations ----- $1,000,000
Abuse & Molestation* ---- $1,000,000
*Abuse & Molestation liability only required if any participants are under the age of eighteen (18).
Limit Per Occurrence ---- $1,000,000
** An Umbrella policy is not necessary if the limit per occurrence under General Liability is $2,000,000.
Indianapolis Opera and William Oesterle will be named as an additional insured under General Liability coverage, and a certificate of insurance will be provided before the commencement of any event. Insurance will be written with a company acceptable to Indianapolis Opera.
Insurance Requirements for Personal Users
It is agreed that the event holder shall purchase and maintain at its expense liability insurance protecting itself against loss or expense by event users use of premises. A certificate of insurance showing Personal Liability coverage shall be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event. If BOC has not received event holder’s proof of insurance by this date, BOC shall have the right to terminate any agreement for use of the facility through written notice and to retain deposit. Insurance as set forth below shall be written by a company with BEST/S rating of A, VII or better with a carrier satisfactory to Indianapolis Opera. Liability coverage can be satisfied by use of a Homeowners policy or combination of Homeowners and Personal Umbrella policy with a combined limit of no less than $2,000,000. The Homeowners policy shall also include coverage for Contingent Workers Compensation.
