It is called the grandest of all art forms because it encompasses so many of them; voice, acting, orchestral music, dance, visual arts for the sets, textile arts for the elaborate costumes and the list goes on. Indianapolis Opera is a fully producing opera company which means that our talented artistic staff painstakingly gather every detail of what you experience from the singers to the smallest of props. It can take over a year of planning to engage all of these production elements with contracts sometimes being signed far in advance.
