Rodgers and Hammerstein’s endearing love story addresses issues of prejudice, race, and acceptance, making this classic piece more relevant than ever. Rodgers wrote most of the lyrical melodies specifically for opera stars, including Ezio Pinza and Giorgio Tozzi, both of whom were lead bass at the Metropolitan Opera for 22 years. Audience members will be moved by some of the most popular songs in all of musical theatre including “Some Enchanted Evening”, “I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair” and “Younger Than Springtime”.
