About the Show:
Reviving a classic holiday tradition, we invite you and your loved ones to witness a beautiful one-act opera from Giancarlo Menotti in celebration of the Christmas season. Amahl and the Night Visitors tells the story of a poor, crippled shepherd boy named Amahl, who is visited by three Magi seeking shelter for the night as they journey to Bethlehem to see the newborn baby Jesus. Join us for two special performances of this touching story of healing and joy.
"Cookies & Cocoa" Reception:
At 3 PM, following the 2 PM performance, and 6 PM, preceding the 7 PM performance, patrons are invited to join us for a "Cookies & Cocoa" reception with complimentary hot chocolate and treats for all to enjoy!

- The show is under an hour long.
- The 2 PM performance will be followed by a "Cookies & Cocoa" Reception at 3 PM
- The 7 PM performance will be preceded by a "Cookies & Cocoa" Reception at 6 PM.
ARRIVAL:
- Patrons are encouraged to arrive 15-30 minutes ahead of time to find parking and get settled.
- You may enter through the West or North entrances of the Basile Opera Center. (Indicated with a star below)
- Indianapolis Opera Staff will be available on site to direct you to the performance hall.
PARKING:
- Standard Parking is available along N. Pennsylvania St. and N. Washington Blvd.
- Handicap Accessible Parking is located by the North entrance of the Basile Opera Center.
- Please do not park along Delaware Street or 40th street. You may refer to the map below for parking availability.
