Come to Carousel in Your Best Vintage Attire!
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel premiered on April 19, 1945, at the height of Old Hollywood fashion in a world recovering from WWII. As war restrictions eased, fashion was given new life in tailored victory suits, full a-line and pencil skirts, fitted jackets with peplums, puffed shoulders, high-waisted pants, fascinators and headscarves, and seamed stockings. For one-night-only, Carousel will grace the Palladium stage, and we’re making it a 1940s party in celebration of the year it debuted.
