  2. Performance Resume with color or black-and-white headshot (on the resume)

Chorus Audition Application

AUDITION DAY

1. On the day of the audition please enter the Basile Opera Center through the entrance to the North side of the building, all other entrances will not be accessible by visiting singers.
2. Free onsite parking is open to all applicants during their audition period.
3. The auditions will take place in the Reilly Hall rehearsal room.
4. Please arrive only 15-30 minutes ahead of your scheduled time slot. Upon arriving, artists will be expected to fill out a handwritten audition repertoire list for the panel’s use during their audition.
5. There will be warm-up rooms with pianos, as well as water and changing rooms available for your use.
6. Chorus auditions should offer two song selections – preferably one in English, one in another language.
7. Applicants will be performing for a panel consisting of IO General Director David Craig Starkey, Principal Guest Conductor Alfred Savia, Education & Community Engagement Coordinator Lyndsay Moy, and other artistic staff.
8. Upon completing their performance, singers will receive direct feedback regarding their audition.
9. If an artist receives an audition slot but is unable to attend on any of the scheduled audition days, the non-refundable fee can secure a subsequent audition time slot during the following audition session. There are a limited number of time slots available during each session. Auditions are based on availability and casting needs for upcoming productions. This application does not guarantee you an audition, but applicants will be notified of their invitation status, either way.
