Program Information
Indianapolis Opera is seeking a Resident Artist Collaborative Pianist for our education and community programming for our 2022-2023 Season. This contract would include a 10-week fall residency and 10-week spring residency. The Resident Artist Pianist serves as accompanist and coach for the four Resident Artist Singers and works closely with our Artistic Director and Principal Guest Conductor. The Pianist is expected to rehearse, coach, and accompany the Resident Artists in children's opera performances, recitals, vocal workshops and masterclasses, and other educational outreach performances that will be programmed through the year. The Pianist will also provide rehearsal piano for two mainstage productions. There will be daytime and evening responsibilities. Travel reimbursement is negotiable.
Compensation
Payment is provided. Payment is negotiable. There is a weekly fee (paid biweekly), plus two additional professional contracts for mainstage productions. Please email Lyndsay Moy at moy@indyopera.org for details.
