VOLUNTEER WITH THE INDIANAPOLIS OPERA
Volunteers play an important role at Indianapolis Opera – supporting productions, helping our artists, and providing skilled assistance in each department. Be a part of an extraordinary team of passionate opera lovers!
Volunteer with the Indianapolis Opera as an Usher/Greeter for Madame Butterfly on May 14, 15, and/or 16!
Outgoing and friendly volunteers are needed to provide ushering and greeting services for patrons of all ages to ensure all patrons receive exceptional service at our Indianapolis Opera performances.
We need ushers to help with all three evenings, May 14, 15, and 16. All three shows start at 7pm, will approximately last until 9pm, and call-time for ushers would be at 5pm and the end time would be around 9:45pm. All seating is pre-purchased general admission tickets. You can read more about the production here. By volunteering as an usher, you would be able to watch the performance for free on the night you volunteer.
If you are interested in volunteering for this performance, please fill out this form.
We will have a required usher training either on Monday, May 10th or Tuesday, May 11th in the evening - date and time to be determined. This training will go over all the important information to assist you with our continued outstanding audience services.
For those that are wondering about health and safety guidelines: Until otherwise stated by the Marion County Health Department and the Mayor of Indianapolis we will require all guests to wear masks when not eating or drinking. Additionally, as per the Marion County Health Department and the State of Indiana and venue guidelines every party will be seated 6 feet from each other.
We look forward to having a wonderful production of Madame Butterfly - in-person - and for you to join us as a volunteer!
