Principal Roles

Experienced, professional singers wishing to audition for principal roles please call or e-mail Stephen Goldberg, Artistic Administrator, (317) 283-3531- 115, stepheng@indyopera.org.

Indianapolis Opera Chorus

Indianapolis Opera will hold chorus auditions for its upcoming 2012-2013 season on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Fairview Presbyterian Church, 4609 N. Capitol Avenue. Interested singers should contact John A Schmid, Chorus Master at 317-253-5982 or johnschmid44@gmail.com on or after Monday,
August 20th to arrange an audition time. Applicants are asked to prepare two selections, preferably with one selection in a language other than English. An accompanist will be provided.

Supernumeraries

Some productions require extra personnel in non-singing roles who appear in crowd scenes to add visual or dramatic impact to a particular scene. Our directors are very creative in their use of “supers” and will challenge those devotees of opera who feel they must run away and join the opera.

For more information, please call or e-mail Stephen Goldberg, Artistic Administrator. (317) 283-3531, stepheng@indyopera.org.

Internships

College students currently enrolled in an accredited degree program are welcome to inquire about internship opportunities with Indianapolis Opera. Internships, both paid and unpaid, may be available in arts administration, education, marketing, graphic design and production.

For further information please call or e-mail Michael Jonson, Director of Finance and Administration, (317) 283-3531- 104, michaelj@indyopera.org.

Volunteer Opportunities

Give the greatest gift of all — your time. There are many ways how volunteers regularly contribute many hours of service throughout the year to Indianapolis Opera. Every attempt is made to accommodate a volunteer’s interest and schedule when making assignments.

For further information please call or e-mail Michael Jonson, Director of Finance and Administration, (317) 283-3531- 104, michaelj@indyopera.org.
