CELEBRATE OPERA DAY with Indianapolis Opera!
Wednesday, April 19, 2023 is CELEBRATE OPERA DAY, and we want you to celebrate with us by listening to your favorite opera or opera singer, such as Lawrence Brownlee or Renée Fleming! From the spicy “Habanara” of Bizet’s Carmen, to the dramatic “Nessun dorma” from Puccini’s Turandot, to the captivating melody of the Queen of the Night’s famous aria in The Magic Flute! As a child, you might have first become familiar with The Barber of Seville as a perfect combination of the world’s most loved animated figure (Bugs Bunny) and the king of comic opera, Gioachino Rossini! Use #CelebrateIndyOpera and share your favorite operatic moments with the Indianapolis Opera!
Thank you, Governor Holcomb, for taking time out of your busy schedule to connect with the Indianapolis Opera today! It was truly an honor to perform for you and your staff at the Statehouse, a wonderful opportunity to share the healing power of singing on this Celebrate Opera Day! #CelebrateIndyOpera
