Every season, our Resident Artists tour all over Indiana to share a love of music and storytelling with our Hoosier community. One of the most versatile programs is our "Opera Cabaret," which features everything from operatic repertoire to well-known Broadway show tunes and Old Hollywood hits from the Great American Songbook.
In this engaging and educational experience, the talented Artists not only sing a variety of genres, but they also share the stories behind the music. In between each selection, the audience is given the opportunity to hear a bit about the singers' artistic journeys and what inspired the selections.
Each "Opera Cabaret" program is catered to the age of the intended audience, with an optional Q&A session to follow each performance. Though specialized for each group, every "Opera Cabaret" program is accessible to all, requiring no previous knowledge of opera or music in general.
