Since 1989, Indianapolis Opera has worked with over 160 emerging artists who have gone on to national and international careers, performing on stages of the world’s largest opera houses. As a professional artist development program, Indianapolis Opera delivers to our Resident Artists a complete training experience. During their residency, IO Resident Artists serve as ambassadors of the Opera, presenting operatic performances and educational experiences throughout Indiana and neighboring states.
