For every mainstage production at Indianapolis Opera, as well as for the debut of each year's children's opera, we invite student groups to attend a special Preview Dress Rehearsal, the final rehearsal before opening night. Students will get the full experience, complete with orchestra, costumes, sets, and lighting.
Not all productions are suitable for all ages, so we have included recommended audiences alongside dress rehearsal information below.
Seating is limited and reserved on a "first come, first served" basis.
DRESS REHEARSAL DATES:
November 12, 2025 | Orchestra Preview Dress of RIGOLETTO
Recommended Audience: 6th grade +
Time: 7:00 - 10:00 PM
Location: The Booth Tarkington Theater at the Center for Performing Arts
April 29, 2026 | Orchestra Preview Dress of THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO
Recommended Audience: 4th grade +
Time: 7:00 - 10:00 PM
Location: The Toby Theatre at Newfields
